Congratulations to Nashoba students and staff for high levels of demonstrated achievement on the 2011-12 MCAS tests! With the support of our parents and families, and the excellent work of our entire staff, students again posted exceptionally high scores on the MCAS tests, with 94% of 10th graders demonstrating proficiency or better in English/Language Arts, 92% of 10th graders demonstrating proficiency or better in Math, and 88% of 10th graders demonstrating proficiency or better in Science and Technology/Engineering. Our percentages of students demonstrating advanced mastery were the highest they have been in the last four years in English/Language Arts (60%) and Science and Technology/Engineering (46%), and impressively high in Math (73%). We still have room for growth, especially in working with our Students with Disabilities sub-group, and we will use the MCAS data as a staff and as a community to inform our ongoing efforts for improvement.
